Practice ManagerJames Lyons is Garrison Animal Care’s Practice Manager. He is excited to bring his love for preventative care to the Lakewood community and your pets. Originally working in human medicine, James moved to veterinary care six years ago. James is dedicated to providing the best quality of care in a supportive environment. He is responsible for administrative concerns and is always happy to speak with clients regarding any questions related to services, payment concerns, or scheduling events.
Meet James’ dog, Sophie!
“I adopted Sophie in 2008, and it was the best decision I made. She’s traveled all over the country with me, and over the years has collected a series of age-related changes including a heart murmur, thickening of the lenses, and good-old-fashioned periodontal disease. I have a soft spot for senior dogs and am always happy to chat with owners about what we can do to keep their senior pets happy and healthy.
Since Sophie travels so often, we always keep heartworm prevention on supply. I like taking her camping as well so we always have a good flea & tick pill available for her at home.”
Lead TechDyani Silvas joined our veterinary clinic in 2018 as a Lead Tech. She is our back of house specialist who supports the doctors in providing stellar service to our clients.
Veterinary AssistantElizabeth has loved animals her entire life. She grew up on a small farm in Colorado and often got in trouble for bringing animals into the house. As a teen, she also worked on an alpaca farm, raising and training alpacas for shows. Later in life, she became a private dog trainer, before attending Grinnell College in Iowa. During school, she worked at a veterinary office for the first time. She graduated with a Bachelors in Biology and returned to her favorite state, Colorado. When not caring for animals, Elizabeth loves to read, rock climb, and rarely stops singing.
